James Craig Tucker was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and moved to Clemson, South Carolina, when he was 10 years old. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he has long been an avid reader of both literary fiction and history. It is no surprise that he is drawn to historical fiction in his longer writing. In shorter fiction, he explores contemporary life and the struggles and motivations of the people he meets. His first novel, An Uncertain Peace, is scheduled for publication in the fall of 2025.
